Updated Guidelines for NC State Promotional Items

The Office of Strategic Brand Management and Finance Division Education and Communications launched a new online course and guidelines regarding the use of NC State trademarks on promotional items. The self-paced training, Trademark Use on University Promotional Items, is accessible via REPORTER. This resource, along with the new guidelines, provides policies and procedures for purchasing branded merchandise for giveaways, fundraising, or internal use. All staff and faculty who purchase promotional items are encouraged to complete the training and reference the guidelines.
The use of the university’s trademarks on products or promotional items requires that the product be produced by a licensed vendor. Consult the updated licensed vendor list and use MarketPlace vendors when possible, or purchase from convenience contracts available through Procurement Services.
