Frequently Asked Questions
We have compiled a list of the most frequent questions concerning enrollment. All of our course registration goes through the “Reporter” system here at NC State. You will also need to be familiar with the “Moodle” platform, to complete the learning modules. Please click the plus sign below to find more information about your topic of interest.
Not able to log into course.
If you haven’t accessed your course in a while (365 days have lapsed) please contact us to reactivate your account at food_safety_support@ncsu.edu
If you are having issues logging in, check and login through your NC State Reporter account https://reporter.ncsu.edu/ using the “Brickyard guest login”.
If your original enrollment was prior to May 2020, it predates “Brickyard logins” so please go instead to “Moodle” https://wolfware.ncsu.edu/
- On the Moodle front page, you will want to click on the User Login link at the bottom of the NC State Login block. This will take you to the login page.
- On the Login page you will want to use the “Outreach User Login” section. When you click on the “User Login” button you will get username and password fields. If your password “Original” doesn’t work there is a forgot password link just below the log in button.
To assist in determining the possible issue(s) preventing access, we would first suggest that the student make sure that they are logged out of “Moodle” and then they can try to log back into that course space — either by logging out of the browser, closing out the browser, or even rebooting the machine (just to be sure everything is cleared.) Clicking on the logout button before rebooting, however, doesn’t hurt. Alternatively, you can try logging in on another device, or in a different browser on the same device, as well to see if they can access the course.
A “fresh” link with no added variables in the URL can be helpful as well:

Some training modules do not have voice-over/sound.
Most of our HACCP course is text and images. There is no voice-over, so please read text on screen. You should have sound if/when you are viewing a video, but there are just a few places where video snippets are used. Check and make sure the tab itself is not muted, and other common user errors like having a headset plugged in.
Can two people share one course but receive two certificates?
No, because International HACCP Alliance policy is to show individual progress.

Do HACCP Certificates expire?
It depends on the regulatory/auditing body who will be auditing your facility and food safety plan. Some don’t put a shelf life on certificates, whereas others do. You should always check with your auditors & inspectors to determine which type of HACCP Certificate they require.
Do HACCP Certificates each get a number?
There are no certification numbers for HACCP. Other certificate programs sometimes do them however, HACCP does not.
