Fundraising

The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences does extraordinary things for North Carolina with the support of our alumni and friends.

Our college advancement team helps identify opportunities for giving that not only strengthen our college, but also help to secure the future of agriculture in our state. Through the generous support of donors and partners CALS has made significant strides in funding for endowments, contracts and gifts.

Fundraising Progress

The college has shown remarkable progress and growth in fundraising over the past several years. Total gifts, endowments and contracts funded by year are shown below:

Fiscal YearTotal
2013$28,558,813
2014$34,396,055
2020$51,674,676
2021$43,310,721

Increasing Endowments

We aimed to increase the number of new endowed professorships (not including the Reynolds Professorships), graduate fellowships and other development opportunities 50% by 2020.

Transformational Gifts

With these transformation gifts we have been able to expand our capabilities as a college and deliver even greater impacts to our stakeholders. Without these gifts our college would not be where it is today.
