Using PCard for Meals in Travel Status

Per the PCard Manual for Cardholders and Travel Manual, the PCard may not be used to pay for meals while on travel status.  Employees in travel status are limited to the allotted per diem amounts for each meal and the expectation is that meals are claimed on the travel reimbursement at the per diem rate allocated for meals.

Using the PCard to pay for employee meals while on travel status is a misuse of the PCard and must be reported to Card Services. The cardholder will be asked to reimburse the personal charge made with the PCard and the card will be placed on hold until the repayment is made.
