OIT Now Has Service Center Rates for Research Storage on both Federal & Non-Federal Grants

NC State’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) has received approval to accept payment from federal grants for Research Storage (https://researchcomputing.oit.ncsu.edu) allocations that exceed 30TB.

The default Research Storage allocation for awarded grants is 2TB. This can be expanded to 30TB without charge. For federal grants, storage allocations exceeding 30TB will be charged at a rate of $80.46/TB/year. For non-federal grants or other non-grant fund sources, the rate for storage allocations exceeding 30TB is $163.59/TB/year.

Review is underway for the purchase of Google Shared Drive space using grant funds and OIT hopes to be able to announce those rates before the end of the calendar year.
