{"id":6,"date":"2019-02-26T18:54:49","date_gmt":"2019-02-26T18:54:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/units.cals.ncsu.edu\/ohp\/?page_id=6"},"modified":"2024-04-04T11:22:13","modified_gmt":"2024-04-04T15:22:13","slug":"homepage","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/units.cals.ncsu.edu\/ohp\/","title":{"rendered":"Operation HomePort"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NC&#160;State University has proudly partnered with the US Navy Child &amp; Youth Programs to host the Operation HomePort (OHP) program.&nbsp; The collaboration&nbsp;provided NC&#160;State interns with&nbsp;opportunities to gain invaluable hands-on experience working with children and youth participating in Navy Child &amp; Youth Programs (CYP), Child Development Centers (CDC), School Age Care (SAC), and teen programs.&nbsp; Assignments included locations&nbsp;throughout California, Nevada, Maryland, Washington, and Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While it&#8217;s been an incredible experience, we&#8217;ve had to make the difficult decision to bring the program to a close.&nbsp; The NC&#160;State University OHP program is no longer placing interns at Navy CYP locations.
