Reneliza Cejalvo

Bio
Reneliza is an incoming PhD student in Crop and Soil Sciences at North Carolina State University, where she’ll be working in the Small Grains Breeding and Genetics Lab under Dr. Nonoy Bandillo. Her research will focus on developing low-glycemic wheat cultivars through a multi-omics project. She pursued a dual MS in Crop and Soil Sciences and Sustainable Agriculture from the University of Georgia and the University of Padua, where she explored high-throughput phenotyping using unmanned aerial systems in forage crops. Reneliza’s excited to learn and integrate her knowledge of plant sciences with machine learning and AI methods to drive innovation in the field.
