GRAD-AID for Ag Presents at Share Your Science

On November 7th, we attended the first Share Your Science Symposium hosted by the NC State Office of University Interdisciplinary Programs. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table! But the biggest congrats go to our fellows who presented: Audrey Fahey and Emily Garceau!

Audrey gave a powerful talk on the benefits of convergent, translational research, highlighting how our Summer Graduate Bridge Program is supporting breakthroughs by connecting students directly with farmers and industry leaders. Learning from stakeholders is the best way to develop effective solutions to agricultural challenges!

Emily blew us away with her vision for precision agriculture! She presented her research group’s (Srinivas Rao Voruganti & Jordan Reed) plan for an AI-powered, intelligent dashboard that will make high-tech farming accessible to every farm, big or small.
