Our non-credit courses are available on an on-demand basis and can be completed on your own time. The for-credit courses follow the traditional semester schedule and engage students with an in depth level of understanding through weekly assignments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our online learning activities cover a variety of food safety topics. They are self-paced, meaning that after you enroll and access them, you are on your own to complete them. Once you enroll in a course, you have 365 days to complete it. All courses contain multimedia elements such as images, text and simple animations. Some feature audio,video clips, virtual tours, case studies, scenario-based learning activities and quizzes. Graded quizzes and exams may be required if certification is involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anyone<\/em> can take our on-demand, short courses. You do not have to be enrolled at NC State or registered through the university’s registrar’s office for on-demand, short courses. People in the following roles find these courses to be valuable: <\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. Food and beverage operators <\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. Quality assurance workers & supervisors <\/p>\n\n\n\n 3. Food safety personnel<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4. Owners of small food processing facilities<\/p>\n\n\n\n 5. Plant\/Production managers<\/p>\n\n\n\n 6. Food safety regulators, auditors, and inspectors<\/p>\n\n\n\n We offer a discount for group enrollment of five or more employees.<\/strong> Participants must all be registered at the same time and in one order to use discount.
