This reporting requirement applies to student travel lasting five or more nights at a single lodging location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lead traveler must ensure the following details are entered in the travel system:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00a0Lead traveler\u2019s name, phone, and email<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Lodging name and address with travel dates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Full list of student travelers (entered in the Travel Center comments or attached documentation)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How Reporting Works:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The University Travel Team monitors Travel Reimbursements (TR) and files reports with University Police for qualifying trips. A confirmation copy will be sent to the lead traveler as proof of reporting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Keep in mind that if no TR is submitted because there were no out-of-pocket expenses, the lead traveler must report the travel directly to the NC&#160;State police department.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Looking ahead:\u00a0The upcoming Travel Center update will integrate this reporting process into the system, helping ensure all Clery Act requirements are automatically met.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Clery Act requires institutions receiving federal student aid funds, including NC&#160;State, to track and publish campus crime statistics, security policies and safety information.
