We ask that you acknowledge USDA NIFA funding by using the following guidance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Standard USDA NIFA Funding Acknowledgment Language&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When acknowledging USDA support in accordance with 2 CFR Part 415, grantees <strong>must<\/strong> use the following acknowledgment for all competitive or capacity grants or initiatives supported by NIFA. This statement should be used in scientific publications, presentations, posters and related materials.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>&#8220;This work is supported by the [Full Program Name, no acronym], project award no. XXXXXXX], from the U.S. Department of Agriculture\u2019s National Institute of Food and Agriculture.&#8221;<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, all publications and other materials, except scientific articles or papers published in scientific journals, <strong>must<\/strong> contain the following statement:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>&#8220;Any opinions, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed in this publication are those of the author(s) and should not be construed to represent any official USDA or U.S. Government determination or policy.&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Press Releases and Media Interviews<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The awardee is responsible for acknowledging USDA NIFA support in media postings and during news media interviews that discuss work supported by USDA NIFA by using language such as the following:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cThis work is\/was supported by the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are interested in subscribing to this newsletter, please use this <a href=\"https:\/\/public.govdelivery.com\/accounts\/USDANIFA\/subscriber\/new?preferences=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">link<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reminder: Using NIFA\u2019s Official Identifier Correctly<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The official NIFA identifier was updated in November 2020 and is now comprised of the USDA logo with NIFA signature lockup. Per NIFA <a href=\"https:\/\/links-2.govdelivery.com\/CL0\/https:%2F%2Fwww.nifa.usda.gov%2Facknowledgment-usda-support-nifa%3Futm_content=%26utm_medium=email%26utm_name=%26utm_source=govdelivery%26utm_term=\/1\/0101019568742ba3-5a6aa5ec-d582-45a3-9f2b-632459ceb15d-000000\/m5l1iDEtXbdTG5RVPA39qmm_K3_Rt4-V2OQx2KxziDM=395\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">regulations and guidelines<\/a>, it is expected that grantees use NIFA\u2019s official identifier in publications, posters, websites and presentations resulting from their award. The <a href=\"https:\/\/links-2.govdelivery.com\/CL0\/https:%2F%2Fwww.nifa.usda.gov%2Fnifa-19-001-official-nifa-identifier%3Futm_content=%26utm_medium=email%26utm_name=%26utm_source=govdelivery%26utm_term=\/2\/0101019568742ba3-5a6aa5ec-d582-45a3-9f2b-632459ceb15d-000000\/BGaaTWQyZyvHdjCoJqwc7W1fpVJ9AwPPv9XPRcZOGo4=395\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">updated official NIFA identifier<\/a> should be used on all print and digital materials moving forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The integrity of the complete identifier should be maintained in all uses. Additions and deletions to the identifier are not permitted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To maintain clear identification, the identifier should always appear proportionally, isolated from other elements, such as titles or graphic devices.
