{"id":1494,"date":"2024-03-18T15:30:38","date_gmt":"2024-03-18T19:30:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/units.cals.ncsu.edu\/business-operations\/?p=1494"},"modified":"2024-03-26T12:31:24","modified_gmt":"2024-03-26T16:31:24","slug":"tips-to-avoid-travel-denials","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/units.cals.ncsu.edu\/core-support\/news\/tips-to-avoid-travel-denials\/","title":{"rendered":"Tips to Avoid Travel Denials"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To help us more quickly and accurately process travel requests, please keep in mind the following items when submitting Travel Authorizations (TAs) and Travel Reimbursements (TRs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When entering mileage claims in your TR, be sure to provide a full street address in the &#8220;Business Destination Address&#8221; field (rather than just city\/town).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be sure to upload a full, finalized agenda into your TR for all travel related to conferences, workshops, or organized events.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Include the 5-digit phase number associated with your funding project number on both TAs and TRs (e.g. 321456-10101).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide estimates for ALL expenses that will be paid by NCSU when completing your TA (including expenses paid by PCard, direct bill, voucher, and TR).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note, if items are not included in the TA and there is an associated item on their PCard, individuals may need to provide their supervisor\u2019s approval of the charge.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To help us more quickly and accurately process travel requests, please keep in mind the following items when submitting Travel Authorizations (TAs) and Travel Reimbursements (TRs).
